Our Green Inititives

At SureHosting, we are conscious of the environment around us.  We realize that even small things add up to a big change.  That is why we, as a company, have tried to cut back on our environmental footprint in all areas of our business.

We value our customer’s privacy and guard their information, while still recycling.  SureHosting works with ProShred, a local company that allows us to securely shred all our paperwork, and then recycle it.  Sometimes, employees even bring paper products in from home for the recycling benefit!  Last year, we recorded saving 14 mature trees by our company’s recycling alone!  To reduce paperwork, we also offer email billing to customers.

As for electric conservation, we use HP dynamic power saving technology in all our servers.  This, combined with server virtualization and switches with "green mode," has earned our Data Center (SV4) a Green Business Program Certification from the Bay Area Green Business Program.  This program was developed by Bay Area local governments in collaboration with the U.S. EPA, Cal EPA, Cal EPA Department of Toxic Substances Control, and the business community.

Not only do we strive to be environmentally conscious within our own business, but we work with our customers to save money by embracing efficient technology solutions. We develop programs to reduce their power and technological footprints by leveraging our efficient datacenter services wherever possible.
